    Abstract

The new species, Brigantiaea leprosa Kantvilas & Elix, based on material from Tasmania and New South Wales, is described. It is characterised chiefly by a leprose-sorediate thallus, with the soredia arising from scattered pustules, and by the presence of caloploicin and vicanicin in addition to atranorin and zeorin.
