Abstract
The new species, Protoparmelia nebulosa Elix & Kantvilas, based on material from Western Australia and New South Wales, is described. It is characterized chiefly by an isidiate thallus, and by the presence of constipatic, isomyelochroic, myelochroic and protoconstipatic acids. The Australasian species, P. pulchra Diederich, Aptroot & Sérus., is recorded from Tasmania for the first time.
