Abstract

Events are beginning to move quickly on the other front of the US in the Middle East - its diplomatic offensive with Iran - with the prospect of economic incentives as it seeks to contain Iran's nuclear program. The International Atomic Energy Agency this week began discussing Iran's nuclear program. Tehran says the program is for peaceful purposes, which is countered by the United States and Israel which say Iran is pursuing a secret nuclear weapons program.
