A riccati equation negative imaginary lemma for singular negative imaginary systems

    Abstract

    This paper presents a generalized Riccati equation negative imaginary lemma for singular negative imaginary systems. An algorithmic approach is used to determine if a system is negative imaginary. By applying a recursive reduction to the original system, a reduced order system is obtained for which the negative imaginary property can be determined by solving an algebraic Riccati equation.
