    Abstract

An overview is given of a comprehensive set of absolute cross sections for elastic scattering and the first few vibrational excitation modes of NO at energies between 0.4 and 2.5 eV. These cross sections provide some interesting comparisons and contrasts to previous work. Measurements indicate that recent estimates of vibrational excitation in NO (0-1 and 0-2 modes) may be too large by as much as a factor of 3.
