    Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals represent humanity's shared ambitious aspirations in the age of Anthropocene. The successful attainment of these goals goes beyond national and international efforts. We discuss that grassroots sustainability initiatives are great opportunities that can give effect to the global and national initiatives through addressing place-specific needs. We propose a transdisciplinary agenda for localizing sustainability in the pursuit of global goals.
