    Abstract

    Indonesia is a nation in Southeast Asia that shares land borders with Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Malaysia. With a population of approximately 230 million people, it is the world's fourth most populous country and the world's largest archipelagic state. It has 17,508 islands, and a GDP per capita of US$1,812. The province of Nanggröe Aceh Darussalam (Aceh) is located on the northwestern tip of the island of Sumatra. Figure 1 below provides a map of Indonesia that highlights the province of Aceh.
