    Abstract

This report presents information on parents who care for people with a disability in Victoria, focusing on the issue of ageing. It reports on the age range of people with a disability who live with their parents and the characteristics of parent carers, including ageing, housing tenure, employment, and assistance with core activities. Data is taken from the 2006 Census and the 2009 Survey of Disability, Ageing and Carers - for both Victoria and Australia-wide. The report also presents estimates on the potential growth over the next 30 years of people with disabilities living with their parents.
