Abstract

Discusses how economic and financial analysis can be used to assess the net benefits of agroforestry enterprises for peasant households, institutions and society. Economic, social and technical issues are examined. Special attention is paid to incentives and analysis of peasant economic decisions, the use of cost benefit analysis, the quantification and evaluation of perceived benefits, economics for sustainable production, and the use of a spreadsheet model. The volume resulted from a CSC meeting in Swaziland in 1989. All papers are abstracted separately. -M.Amos
