    Abstract

In this paper, we describe a complex object biography, discussing and detailing the types of design decisions necessary in the creation of an ontological structure capable of mapping its relationships and provenance from historical objects. We contextualise this within the limitations of conventional bibliographic and curatorial pragmatics, and workfows.
