Abstract
This publication attempts to elucidate what kind of god is implicit in current cosmological thinking. It was inspired by the famous Einstein quote: I believe in Spinoza's God, who reveals Himself in the lawful harmony of the world, not in a God who concerns Himself with the fate and the doings of mankind. The evolutionary theorist Richard Dawkins used Einstein’s references to God to argue that “much unfortunate confusion is caused by failure to distinguish what can be called Einsteinian religion from supernatural religion” in his polemic book The God Delusion.
The assumptions behind the mathematical formulations of cosmology are examined by reintroducing “Laplace unnecessary hypothesis”, the existence of deities. By giving those deities instructions on how fine-tune big bang events that lead to biogenesis, and suggesting ways to their subsequent auto-kenesis from their created worlds, it illuminates the delusions of current scientific reductionism, and explores the hidden assumptions on the mathematical extrapolations of Einstein field equations, which form the basis of current scientific thinking on our era’s mythical creation story, the big bang.
The publication is also a textual experiment on the aesthetic use of scientific bibliography. Four bibliographic lists of different order of difficulty are presented as required readings for aspiring scientific demiurges to help them to behave in a properly “scientific” way.
Keywords: Cosmology; The Mathematical Universe Hypothesis; The unreasonable effectiveness of Mathematics; Constants of Nature; Demiurgy; Creation Myths; Einstein Field Equations; Auto-kenesis; Biogenesis; Scientific Bibliography; The God Delusion
