    Abstract

This paper presents a method to compose Architectural Description (AD) that is suitable for translative Model-Driven Development (MDD). In it, we map the translative MDD artifacts to the AD which complies with the IEEE Standard 1471-2000. The method comprises viewpoints which address separately Platform-Independent Requirements Specification (PIRS) and Platform Requirements Specification (PRS). Functional and non-functional requirements concerns are also accommodated within this method. Our proposed method applies object-oriented analysis and recursive design (OOA/RD) concepts to build the architectural models. Within our method, the OOA/RD concepts are adjusted in order to accommodate nonfunctional requirements specifications. In terms of separation of concerns, our method offers clearer decomposition compared with the specified viewpoints in Model-Driven Architecture (MDA).
