    Abstract

Groundwater is an important resource for many water users in Australia. Water managers need information on the character, dynamics and current status of groundwater resources to inform the planning and adjustment of groundwater management regimes. Ongoing challenges in groundwater management include the expense and scarcity of groundwater mapping and monitoring, the high spatial variability in groundwater system characteristics and the complexity groundwater storage dynamics.
