N2 - Sir, Osteosclerotic myeloma is frequently associated with extramedullary manifestations, such as peripheral neuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy and skin changes (POEMS syndrome). Autoimmune haemolytic anaemia is rarely associated with multiple myeloma, but has not been previously noted in osteosclerotic myeloma. We report on the first such case, with IgG autoimmune haemolytic anaemia developing during follow-up of indolent osteosclerotic myeloma. We review the pathogenesis of the extramedullary features seen in osteosclerotic myeloma and discuss the potential association with autoimmune haemolytic anaemia.
