Abstract

Beijing is China's capital city and one of the most populous in the world. Its history dates back three millennia and as a result it is seen as a centre of culture and art. This book is a photographic juxtaposition of contemporary architecture in Beijing, including the National Stadium Bird's Nest by Herzog de Meuron and ruins from the Garden of Perfect Brightness.
