Abstract

This entry considers the relatively young field of bioethics as it, and we, enter the twenty-first century. Particular attention is paid to the field’s need for greater theoretical interdisciplinarity, the proliferating number of sub-fields or sub-topics that make up the field, the emergence of public health ethics and the turn to justice, and the challenges posed by bioenhancement.
