Abstract

The title compound, (C₃₆H₃₀NP₂)[Ru ₈P(CO)₂₂]·CHCl₃ or [N(PPh ₃)₂][Ru₈(μ₈-P)(CO) ₂₂]·CHCl₃, comprises a square antiprismatic octaruthenium cluster anion with an interstitial phosphido ligand, two bridging carbonyl ligands, and 20 terminal carbonyl ligands, together with a disordered PPN cation and a disordered chloroform solvent molecule.
