Abstract

This chapter reviews secondary treatments in English of issues related to the body and corporeality in modern Chinese literature studies with an eye toward suggesting a critical genealogy of methodologies. It provides a basic introduction to some of the key themes as introduced by monographs, edited volumes, and academic journals from the last three decades.
