    Abstract

This book provides 11 essays by authoritative researchers on the topic of economic integration in Asia. The essays revolve around the prospective Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) as a means to further integration in the region through the window of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and its six trade agreement partners: Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea and New Zealand. The RCEP is presented as the ASEAN-centred answer to the ‘noodle bowl’ effect of multiple individual trade agreements in the region.
