    Abstract

This novel is Australian, written by young Australian women authors. Never Never, written by Candice Fox, in her early twenties in collaboration with the world number 1 thriller writer, James Patterson. It is published in the Italian Review, Libro Guerriero online. The novel belongs to the noir literature genre; it depicts the darkest shades of Australian rural as well as urban landscapes, in particular violence perpetrated against women (e.g., On Brunswick Ground di Catherine de Saint Phalle, who takes her inspiration from the real murder of the ABC Irish journalist committed in Brunswick to reflect on womens condition in todays Melbourne). The emphasis is not on the killers but on the victims and on those who are left behind. In my reviews the titles are in English and quotations are also in the original language, English (and translated into Italian) Australian noir literature with titles also in English and quotations in English (translated into Italian)
