Abstract

A numerical scheme has been introduced and implemented for realizing the zero-noise limit in discrete Laplacian growth processes such as diffusion-limited aggregation and dielectric breakdown. The results clearly demonstrate the possibility of branching in the absence of noise. The formalism provides essentially exact results that can be compared with future experimental, numerical, and theoretical studies.
