Abstract

The breather properties in Josephson junction ladders were analytically and numerically studied. The numerical studies were done in a parallel manner to the wave experiments were conducted. Results confirm and substantially extend early suggestions that breathers may resonate in different ways with localized and extended electromagnetic modes.
