    Abstract

This series of works was produced by composing fragment of broken vinyl records onto BW paper and exposing to light. The project comes out of my ongoing research into popular music cultures and their role in society, and darkroom techniques and alternative processes. The broken record in particular is a response to obsolescence, waste and nostalgia associated with analogue technologies in the contemporary era.
