    Abstract

We study nonlinear frequency generation in media with random ferroelectric domain structure. We show that randomness enables one to realize broadband third harmonic generation via cascading of two second order quasiphase matched nonlinear processes. We investigate spatial and polarization properties of the emitted waves and find them to be in agreement with theoretical predictions.
