Abstract
IN APRIL 2014, Xi Jinping made the first ever visit by a Chinese head of state to the European Institutions in Brussels. In a speech cum Chinese history lesson at the Collège dEurope in Bruges, Xi called on Europeans to work together for all flowers of human civilization to blossom together.
