Abstract

Most features of the solitons parameters such as amplitude, phase and frequency are well defined. The remarkable property of optical solitons is their particle like interaction. The strength and character of interaction can be controlled by varying soliton coherence. This novel type of coherence-controlled soliton interaction is generic for the interaction of partially coherent waves in nonlinear media.
