Compact Bragg grating reflectors in silicon waveguides and their application to resonator filters

    Abstract

    Compact reflectors which partially reflect and transmit over a wide wavelength range were realized in sub-wavelength silicon waveguides utilizing curved Bragg gratings and resonator filters based on those reflectors were demonstrated in a standard SOI platform.
