    Abstract

The reaction cross sections and momentum transfer of the electrons produced in electron-impact double ionization of He were measured. The energy and linear momentum conservation laws were used to obtain the kinematical variables of the particles involved in ionization. The experimental data on the (e,3e) fully resolved cross sections were analyzed in different angular modes to compare it with the state-of-art calculations. The analysis suggested that the optical limit depended on incident energy and the amount of momentum transfer as well as on the emission direction of slow ejected electrons in double ionization of He.
