    Abstract

We describe the escape transition of a block copolymer chain compressed between finite-sized obstacles. Two different and independent theoretical methods are used, and both provide a similar description of multiple escape transitions where the number and critical compression are determined by the sizes and ordering of the blocks. We predict that the compressive force profile could have a specific "signature" of transitions which would give information about the polymer architecture.
