    Abstract

When the next big opportunity to conserve biodiversity on farms comes around, will we be able to show that we have learnt from our experiences in agri-environmental policy? What are the key factors a policymaker needs to consider when designing and delivering an agri-environment scheme? Each chapter in this book provides valuable lessons and insights that policymakers should keep in mind when developing agri-environment schemes. We discuss here six central themes that have emerged from the discussions contained in the previous 22 chapters.
