Abstract
Two recently derived configurational expressions were applied for the temperature to confined atomic fluids in a slit pore with a width of four molecualr diameters. The system was first divided into bins and the configurational temperatures were calculated in each of the bins. The so obtained temperature profiles were compared to the kinetic temperature both at equilibrium and in NEMD simulations of planar Poiseuille flow.
