Abstract

The convergent synthesis and preliminary biological evaluations of the stilbenolignan (±)-aiphanol and various congeners were studied. Treatment of an equimolar mixture of stilbene and cinnamyl alcohol with silver carbonate in acetone-benzene was also discussed. The anti-angiogenic properties of compounds were determined in an angiogenesis assay.
