Abstract

The osmium ethylene complex [OsCf-(NO)(C2H4)(PPh3)2] reacts with ((p-tolylsulfonyl)imino)oxo-λ4-sulfane (O=S=NSO2C6H4Me-4) by either substitution of or electrophilic attack at the coordinated ethylene ligand to provide respectively [OsCI(NO)(η2-OSNSO2G6H4Me-4)(PPh3)2] or the structurally characterized osmacycle [Os{CH2CH2S(=NSO2C6H4Me-4)O}CI-(NO)PPh3)2].
