Abstract
This article rethinks the ongoing debates over the "subjectivity" of the Chinese Malaysians society. It points out in what way Chinese Malaysians develop subjectivity anxiety when facing China and the state (Malaysia), the historical reasons that cause the predicament and the possibility of recognizing a Third World identity for Chinese Malaysians.
