title = "Dielectric enhanced nanoparticles for three-dimensional optical manipulation",
abstract = "Engineering semiconductor nanostructures has immense potential for applications pertaining to nanophotonics especially due to their optical properties. Nanostructures can come in various forms i.e. tubes, rods and dots. Each presents themselves as a possible candidate for creating larger photonics structures. In this paper, we describe the optical trapping characteristic of dielectric enhanced nanoparticles. Two techniques of dielectric enhancements are employed: silica coating and microsphere tagging, for the efficient manipulation of nanoparticles.",
