Abstract
In 2011, New Zealand's Waitangi Tribunal released its long-awaited report concerning the nature of Maori rights over their traditional knowledge and culture. This chapter critically analyses the control afforded Maori over their traditional knowledge and culture by the Tribunal's decision. The analysis offered is from a Maori perspective, a perspective mostly absent from the existing academic literature.
