Discrete vortex clusters in triangular photonic lattices

    Abstract

    We describe clusters of discrete vortex solitons in triangular photonic lattices and demonstrate that periodic potentials with three-fold symmetry provide stabilization of novel topological states due to a balance of energy flow.
