Abstract

This paper surveys the contribution of Ross Garnaut to the Australian economics profession, in the fields of Asia-Pacific economic integration, Australia's economic relations with the Asia-Pacific region, the economic development of Papua New Guinea and China, and climate change. It particularly draws attention to his major contribution to economic policy-making in Australia and the region.
