    Abstract

The distorted-wave models for positron impact ionization of atoms were discussed. The comparison between the Coulomb plus plane waves with full energy range (CPE), CPE4 and distorted-wave CPE5 (DCPE5) results and the experimental measurements for noble gases was analyzed. The analysis showed that the re-calibration of the experimental measurements yielded good agreement with DCPE5 model at high energies for all the target atoms studied.
