N2 - A distributed transmit beamforming technique is developed for both a static and a time-varying channel in a wireless sensor network. This algorithm is based on an iterative procedure that synchronizes the transmitters to send a common message signal coherently to the receiver, using a 3-bit feedback in each timeslot. Results show that the received power increases quadratically with number of transmitters, and there is a substantially improved performance over a 1-bit feedback system and system without feedback.
