Abstract
The last sentence of the Stephen Howes and Robin Davies excellent piece Trump and development: aid, migration and the Beijing Consensus, the greatest developmental impact of the Trump presidency may be to cement the Beijing Consensus as the pre-eminent global development model, prompted me to reflect on what the Beijing Consensus is, and whether it applies to Chinas global development or foreign aid policy.
