Abstract
Ten contributions from international economists discuss recent developments in East Asian trade and financial integration following the currency crisis. A sampling of topics includes sub-regional trading arrangements; the arguments for and against returning to a dollar peg; and China, the WTO, and East Asian diplomacy. The papers represent the culmination of a three-year-long joint research project conducted by Kobe University and the Australian National University. Distributed in the U.S. by ISBS. Annotation c.
