    Abstract

We present differential cross sections for elastic scattering of electrons from krypton and compare our results with experimental measurements for differential and integrated cross sections including recent experiments which extend the measurements to larger scattering angles. Our calculations are based upon the relativistic polarized-orbital method and include both static and dynamic polarization potentials as well as an absorption potential to simulate the loss of flux into other channels. The inclusion of these absorption effects significantly improves upon our previous calculations, bringing them into very good to excellent agreement with experimental measurements of the differential cross sections as well as the total and momentum transfer cross sections over the energy range from 10 to 200 eV.
