    Abstract

(Chemical Equation Presented) Successive oxidation processes in a heterobimetallic iron-ruthenium complex (see picture) "switch" the optical transitions at long wavelengths, and these linear electrochromic effects are accompanied by changes in the nonlinear optical properties of the complex.
