Abstract
Recent advances in archaeological theory in association with technological advances in the physicochemical analysis of archaeological materials have led to a 'revolution' in the way archaeologists have modeled the past. Regional studies in exchange and trade is part of this change, allowing social and economic modeling of the past more viable. © 2008
