    Abstract

    American Enterprise, according to its promotion on the National Museum of American History Web site, chronicles the tumultuous interaction of capitalism and democracy that resulted in the continual remaking of American businessand American life. This is a large exhibition, taking up eight thousand square feet of the museum's ground floor in a long corridor layout with a large alcove, the Wallace H. Coulter Exchange, dedicated to interactive and educational exhibits aimed at younger visitors. A book on the exhibition, American Enterprise: A History of Business in America (edited by Andy Serwer, 2015) is also available for purchase.
