    Abstract

The quantum-state and qubit-qubit interactions for an ensemble of Eu 3+ dopant ions in Y2SIO5 were investigated. The qubit based on one of optical transitions of ions used quantum-state tomography. The optical pulses were used to manipulate the qubit and optical free induction in phase sensitive manner was used to observe measurements. The fidelities of >90% were achieved for combined preparation and measurement process.
