    Abstract

The generation and investigation of Gaussian continuous variable entanglement between the amplitude and phase quadratures of a pair of light beams was presented. Decoherence in the form of optical loss to both entangled beams and experimentally demonstrated qualitative and quantitative differences between the two criteria was introduced. These differences suggested that a more comprehensive representation may be appropriate.
