    Abstract

New experimental facilities have been constructed to investigate the way in which low-energy positrons interact with atoms, molecules and materials, and how these interactions may be harnessed in the growing field of positron applications. Some background information on positron physics is provided, and the design and operation of a new, high-resolution, positron collisions apparatus is explained, along with a demonstration of the first experimental results.
