Femtosecond laser writing in lithium niobate

    Abstract

    The fine morphology of infrared femtosecond laser-induced changes in bulk lithium niobate is closely analysed. Linearly polarized light can generally produce two or three axially separated modified regions containing polarization-dependent self-organized periodic nanostructures.
